Born in Hong Kong, raised in San Francisco, Teresa LeYung Ryan says she reclaimed her Chinese heritage while writing Love Made of Heart.

"I was so focused on being an American girl that I abandoned my ancestral gifts."

Committed to honoring humanity and following her heart in her writing, she shares the adventure called Life with her wonderful husband of seven years.
This is her first novel and Barnes & Noble selected her as one of their "front list" authors. We can see why. Teresa's presentation was unique and creative. She involved Marin Branch members to literally play roles of her characters and present the book as a mini stage play. The audience howled with laughter during the spirited readings.
