"Author and Screenwriter"

Rita Laken spent 25 years in Hollywood as a supervising producer and writer. She worked in television as free-lance writer, story editor, staff writer on series such as Peyton Place, Mod Squad, and Dynasty. She created and produced series, The Rookies, Flamingo Road, Nightingales, plus wrote many movies for TV including Death Takes A Holiday, A Sensitive Passionate Man, Hey, I'm Alive. She has written two theatrical plays: No Language But a Cry and Grossinger's, a musical. Her published books include: Demon of the Night, Summer Without Boys and Pyramid. Her awards include an Edgar Allen Poe (TV drama), WGA Nominations (TV movies), Avery Hopwood award for fiction (U. of Michigan).
